Wesley Matthews has been a pleasant surprise for the Utah Jazz

The Jazz started the season short handed due to injuries which gave undrafted rookie guard Wesley Matthews his big chance to shine and he has run with it. Matthews has played in 24 games (16 starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 26.2 minutes, 8.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. The Jazz have quite a find in Matthews and he will continue to get his minutes as long as he keeps playing well.

The Jazz got outrebounded 48-36 last night as they got shocked at home losing to the T-Wolves. Deron Williams led the way for the Jazz last night with 38 points, 3 rebounds, 13 assists and 2 steals. Carlos Boozer was outstanding near the basket with 14 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots. Mehmet Okur pitched in with 13 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists off the bench last night. The Jazz are now 14-10 on the year.

The Jazz shot 51.9% from the floor last night and that was a main factor in the win last night. Deron Williams led the way for the Jazz last night with 21 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists and 2 steals. Ronnie Brewer also had a really good game with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Wes Matthews pitched in with 19 points, 2 rebounds and 6 assists last night. The Jazz are now 14-9 on the year.

The Jazz shot 50% from the floor last night and that really helped them win this game. Deron Williams led the way for the Jazz last night with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 15 assists. C.J. Miles pitched in with 22 points and 2 assists in only 28 minutes on the floor. Carlos Boozer also had a great game against the Magic finishing with 20 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. The Jazz are now 13-9 on the year.

The Jazz only shot 33.7% from the floor and they were outscored 28-6 in the 4th quarter which explains the scoreboard last night. Deron Williams led the way for the Jazz last night with 17 points, 2 rebounds and 8 assists. Mehmet Okur also had a solid game for the Jazz last night with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. C.J. Miles pitched in with 14 points and 5 rebounds in 29 minutes off the bench in this game. The Jazz are now 12-9 on the year.

The Utah Jazz outscored the Spurs 37-19 in the third quarter last night and they shot 53.2% from the floor for the game which were the two biggest reasons for the win. Carlos Boozer led the way for the Jazz last night with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Ronnie Brewer stuffed the stat sheet with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals last night. Deron Williams pitched in with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 11 assists. The Jazz are now 12-8 on the year.

The Jazz didn’t play any defense last night as the T-Wolves shot 57.1% from the floor.  The Timberwolves also outscored the Jazz 35-28 in the 4th quarter as they just appeared to want this game more than the Jazz did.  Carlos Boozer led the way for the Jazz tonight with 23 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists.  Deron Williams did a good job of directing things on offense with 18 points, 2 rebounds and 11 assists.  Mehmet Okur pitched in with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.  The Jazz are now 11-8 on the year.

The Jazz outrebounded the Pacers 53-38 and they held them to 39.7% shooting from the floor which explains the win last night. Carlos Boozer had a monster night for the Jazz with 35 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists last night. Wesley Matthews had a solid game last night with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Mehmet Okur pitched in with 13 points and 8 rebounds. The Jazz are now 11-7 on the year.

Paul Millsap is making the most of his limited time on the court for the Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz did everything they could to trade Carlos Boozer over the summer but they couldn’t find any takers. Boozer has responded by playing great so far this season which has limited Paul Millsap’s playing time this year but he’s making the most of it. Millsap has played in 17 games (0 starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 26.1 minutes, 9.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game. Millsap will likely get into the starting lineup at some point this season if the Jazz decide to trade Boozer of if he were to get injured.

Utah Jazz 120, Memphis Grizzlies 93

The Utah Jazz (10-7) had six different players score in double figures as they blew out the Memphis Grizzlies (6-12) last night.  The Jazz put on a clinic offensively, shooting 58% from the field, 50% from three, and 92% from the line.  Nobody really played poorly for the Jazz last night, as Ronnie Brewer led the scoring with 25 points.  Carlos Boozer was the player of the game with 24 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.  Boozer has been a force for the Jazz all season and has a great point guard in Derron Williams to feed him the rock.  Williams had 22 points, 6 assists, and 2 rebounds last night.  O.J. Mayo led the Grizzlies with 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals.
