The Jazz were outscored 15-10 in overtime by the Wizards as they have sunken to a new low.  C.J. Miles only shot 5 of 18 from the floor but he led the way for the Jazz with 17 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal.  Al Jefferson (15 points, 16 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) and Earl Watson (13 points, 7 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 steal) also had solid games for the Jazz last night.  Paul Millsap (12 points), Gordon Hayward (12 points) and Derrick Favors (11 points and 10 rebounds) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-39 on the year.

Point guard Devin Harris and power forward Derrick Favors came over to the Jazz as part of the haul for Deron Williams and they are both playing decent basketball so far.  Harris has replaced Williams as the Jazz’ starting point guard.  He has played in 13 games (12 starts) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 29.0 minutes, 14.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game.  Rookie power forward Derrick Favors has been backing up Paul Millsap since coming to Utah.  He has played in 14 games (2 starts) for the Jazz last year and he averaged 17.9 minutes, 7.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists per game on 51.3% shooting from the floor.  Harris & Favors will have huge roles for the Jazz going forward.

Dallas Mavericks 94, Utah Jazz 77

The Jazz were winning this game 60-58 heading into the fourth quarter.  But they played awful in the final stanza as the Mavericks outscored them 36-17 to pull away.  Al Jefferson led the way for the Jazz in this game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.  C.J. Miles (16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) and Paul Millsap (15 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-38 on the year.

The Utah Jazz shut down Mehmet Okur

The Jazz have decided to shut down 31-year old center Mehmet Okur due to back and leg injuries.  Okur played in 13 games (0 starts) for the Jazz this year and he averaged 12.9 minutes, 4.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.  He only shot 35.5% from the floor and 31.3% from three point range as he never appeared to be anywhere near 100% for the Jazz.  They aren’t going to the playoffs anyway so it made sense to shut him down.

New Orleans Hornets 121, Utah Jazz 117 in O.T.

The Jazz were outscored 16-12 in overtime in this game and it ruined a great offensive effort.  The Jazz shot 51.2% from the floor last night and they outrebounded the Hornets 43-36, but they still lost.  Paul Millsap (33 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocked shots) and Al Jefferson (22 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Jazz last night.  Earl Watson did a good job of running the offense as he finished up with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot last night.  Raja Bell (13 points), Gordon Hayward (11 points) and C.J. Miles (11 points) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-37 on the year.

Oklahoma City Thunder 106, Utah Jazz 94

The Jazz didn’t play any D last night as the Thunder shot 54.5% from the floor and it was the big reason for the loss.  Al Jefferson led the way for the Jazz last night with 32 points, 12 rebounds and 2 assists.  Paul Millsap also had a very solid game with 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots.  C.J. Miles (11 points) and Earl Watson (10 points) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-36 on the year.

The Jazz were outrebounded 40-30 last night and they Grizzlies shot 50.6% from the floor which were the two biggest reasons for the beating they took.  Paul Millsap led the way for the Jazz last night with 15 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.  Al Jefferson pitched in with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 1 blocked shot last night.  C.J. Miles only shot 1 of 8 from the floor but he still finished up with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot last night.  The Jazz are now 36-35 on the year.

The Jazz left everything on the court last night before falling just a tad short in Texas.  Paul Millsap led the way for the Jazz in this game with 35 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots.  C.J. Miles (19 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists) and Al Jefferson (17 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 blocked shot) also had solid games for the Jazz last night.  Devin Harris (12 points) and Andrei Kirilenko (10 points) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-34 on the year.

The Jazz shot 54.8% from the floor last night which was a big reason for the nice blowout win in Salt Lake City.  C.J. Miles exploded for the Jazz last night with 40 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists!  He shot 14 of 18 from the floor, 6 of 7 from the three point line and 6 of 7 from the free throw line as he just could not be stopped!  Al Jefferson had another monster game for the Jazz last night with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 blocked shots.  Andrei Kirilenko (15 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 blocked shot), Derrick Favors (13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots) and Devin Harris (12 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists) also pitched in with solid games for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 36-33 on the season.

The Jazz outrebounded the Sixers 51-44 last night and they outscored them 9-4 in O.T. to surge to victory.  Al Jefferson led the way for the Jazz last night with 30 points, 17 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 blocked shots.  Devin Harris (19 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists) and C.J. Miles (19 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) also had solid games for the Jazz last night.  Andrei Kirilenko (16 points) and Derrick Favors (11 points) also pitched in for the Jazz last night.  The Jazz are now 35-33 on the year.
