The Utah Jazz need Tyrone Corbin to step it up
48-year old head coach Tyrone Corbin took over when Jerry Sloan stepped down as the head coach of the Jazz, and he had a rough time of it. When Corbin took over the Jazz, they were sitting at 31-23 (57.4%) with playoff aspirations. The Jazz then finished the season by going 8-20 (28.6%) under Corbin. Everything wasn’t Corbin’s fault as the Jazz traded Deron Williams to the Nets at the trade deadline. But, the Jazz’ fans and organization expect to win after doing so much of it lately under Jerry Sloan. That means he needs to step up as the head coach starting in 2011-12 if he wants to have this gig long term.
