The Jazz ran the Nets out of the gym last night in Salt Lake City. Al Jefferson (20 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots) and Paul Millsap (18 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals) led the way for the Jazz last night. C.J. Miles was red hot off the bench with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 18 minutes last night. Raja Bell (12 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Gordon Hayward (10 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists) also pitched in for the Jazz in this game. The Jazz are now 7-4 on the year.

19-year old center Enes Kanter and 20-year old shooting guard Alec Burks are both playing decent basketball for the Jazz so far this year. Kanter has played in 10 games (0 starts) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 13.2 minutes, 4.2 points, 5.1 rebounds and 0.2 assists per game. He is likely going to be a starter in the near future for the Jazz. Alec Burks has played in 9 games (0 starts) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 10.8 minutes, 5.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. Burks brings instant offense off the bench and he is going to have a much bigger role in the near future.

Josh Howard pitched in with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal off the bench. Al Jefferson only shot 5 of 17 from the floor last night but he still finished up with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots. The Jazz are now 6-4 on the season.

The Jazz shot 59.2% from the floor which was a big reason for the win last night over the visiting Cavs. Al Jefferson led the way for the Jazz last night with 30 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocked shots on 13 of 17 shooting from the floor! Paul Millsap shot 9 of 10 from the floor as he finished up with 19 points, 3 rebounds and 1 blocked shot for the Jazz last night before fouling out. Josh Howard (17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 1 steal) and Derrick Favors (14 points, 5 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) also pitched in for the Jazz last night. The Jazz are now 6-3 on the year.

27-year old center Al Jefferson is off to a great start this year for the Jazz. He has played in 7 games (all starts) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 32.7 minutes, 18.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocked shots per game. Jefferson is playing solid basketball on both ends of the court and he is a driving force as to why the Jazz are off to a suprisingly good start this year.

The Jazz got a nice road win by the slimmest of margins last night. Gordon Hayward (18 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals) and Al Jefferson (15 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot) led the way for the Jazz last night. Derrick Favors had a solid game off the bench for the Jazz last night with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. The Jazz are now 5-3 on the year.

Al Jefferson led the way for the Jazz last night with 20 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocked shots. Paul Millsap (14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) and Josh Howard (13 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals) also pitched in with solid games for the Jazz. Devin Harris (11 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot in 26 minutes on the floor) and Earl Watson (11 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal) also helped out last night. The Jazz are now 4-3 on the year.

For some reason, head coach Tyrone Corbin thought it was better to start Derrick Favors over Paul Millsap at power forward. It didn’t take long until that changed. Paul Millsap has played in 6 games (4 starts) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 26.8 minutes, 12.0 points, 9.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game. Millsap is probably the second best player on the Jazz (Al Jefferson being the best), so he has to start and play big minutes if the team is going to make the best use of it’s resources.
