Earl Watson has been awful for the Utah Jazz so far this year

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Need to step up by admin on Tuesday 27 March 2012 at 2:12 pm

The Jazz have gotten poor production from their point guards so far this year as Devin Harris and Earl Watson have not played too well.  Watson has been really awful this year.  He has played in 43 games (1 start) for the Jazz so far this year and he is averaging 21.0 minutes, 3.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.1 steal per game.  He is only shooting 35.2% from the floor, 19.6% from three point range and 68.8% from the free throw line so far this year, and that is truly pathetic.

The Utah Jazz lose Josh Howard for the rest of the season

Blogged under Big Jazz News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by admin on Wednesday 21 March 2012 at 3:25 pm

31-year old small forward Josh Howard is done for the season due to left knee surgery.  Howard played in 41 games (18 starts) for the Jazz last year and he averaged 23.4 minutes, 8.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.  21-year old Gordon Hayward will return to the starting lineup to replace Howard.  Hayward has played in 46 games (38 starts) so far this year and he is averaging 27.6 minutes, 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.  This will hurt the Jazz’ bench a little bit, but Hayward should be more than good enough to replace Howard in the starting lineup.
