Andrei Kirilenko is playing well for the Utah Jazz this season

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 5 January 2010 at 1:24 am

Andrei Kirilenko is back to stuffing the stat sheet just like the Jazz like him to this season. He has played in 27 games (8 starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 29.4 minutes, 10.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steal and 1.0 blocked shots per game. The Jazz prefer to bring AK-47 off the bench where they can just turn him loose to play all out.

Ronnie Brewer in Mr. Dependable for the Utah Jazz this year

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 29 December 2009 at 6:06 pm

Ronnie Brewer has really played well this season despite not being a top option on the offense. Brewer has played in 30 games (all starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 34.6 minutes, 10.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Brewer will likely get more shots down the road for the Jazz but until then he will keep doing the little things that winning teams like the Jazz need him to do.

C.J. Miles earns his way back into the starting line-up for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 22 December 2009 at 9:57 am

C.J. Miles has been recovering from a injury which kept him out about 1.5 months to start the season. But, he has now bumped rookie Wesley Matthews out of the starting line-up. Miles has played in 10 games (1 start) for the Jazz so far this season and he is averaging 22.3 minutes, 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. This is a good sign for the Jazz as Matthews should strengthen the bench while Miles should give the Jazz more firepower in the starting line-up.

Paul Millsap is just biding his time with the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 22 December 2009 at 9:54 am

Paul Millsap is making the most of his playing time this season. He has played in 28 games (0 starts) in which he is averaging 25.8 minutes, 10.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game. The Jazz tried like hell to trade Carlos Boozer last summer but they couldn’t find any takers. Boozer has played really well this season but it is blocking Paul Millsap from getting the playing time he deserves. Millsap has been a good soldier as he is just waiting for his next chance at the starting line-up.

Wesley Matthews has been a pleasant surprise for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Rookie Reports,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 15 December 2009 at 11:43 am

The Jazz started the season short handed due to injuries which gave undrafted rookie guard Wesley Matthews his big chance to shine and he has run with it. Matthews has played in 24 games (16 starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 26.2 minutes, 8.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. The Jazz have quite a find in Matthews and he will continue to get his minutes as long as he keeps playing well.

Paul Millsap is making the most of his limited time on the court for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Thursday 3 December 2009 at 12:52 pm

The Utah Jazz did everything they could to trade Carlos Boozer over the summer but they couldn’t find any takers. Boozer has responded by playing great so far this season which has limited Paul Millsap’s playing time this year but he’s making the most of it. Millsap has played in 17 games (0 starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 26.1 minutes, 9.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.6 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game. Millsap will likely get into the starting lineup at some point this season if the Jazz decide to trade Boozer of if he were to get injured.

Carlos Boozer is off to a pretty good start for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 10 November 2009 at 10:29 am

Carlos Boozer is off to a good start for the Jazz this season. He has played in 7 games (all starts) for the Jazz this season and he is averaging 35.0 minutes, 16.7 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.1 steals per game. The Jazz tried to move Boozer in a trade all summer but they couldn’t find any takers. They figured that Paul Millsap was ready to move into the starting lineup as he played very well when Boozer was out of action. Still, the Jazz have to be happy with the way that Boozer is playing so far this season.

Andrei Kirilenko is off to a good start for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Tuesday 3 November 2009 at 11:21 pm

With all of the injuries the Jazz have suffered before the season started they needed Andrei Kirilenko to step up and that he has done so far this year. Kirilenko has started the first three games of the season for the Jazz and he is averaging 39.7 minutes, 13.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.7 blocked shots. The Jazz need Kirilenko to keep up the good work until reinforcements arrive later in the year.

Andrei Kirilenko is back for the Utah Jazz

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Steppin Up,Uncategorized by alleyoop on Tuesday 8 January 2008 at 12:09 pm

A.K. 47 is back for the Jazz. Kirilenko is over his crying spat in the playoffs last season and he has been playing very well this season for the Jazz. Kirilenko has played in 33 games this season for the Jazz and he is averaging 34.1 minutes, 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.0 blocks per game. The Jazz will be even more dangerous in the post season this year with A.K. 47 healthy and productive.

The Utah Jazz have two players that are dominating in December

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Steppin Up by alleyoop on Wednesday 12 December 2007 at 12:27 am

Deron Williams and Carlos Boozer have been outstanding so far this season. Deron Williams is on fire in December as he’s played in 4 games this month and he’s averaging 38.5 minutes, 30.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game. He also is shooting the heck out of the basketball. He has hit 57.4% from the floor, 60% from three point range and 85.7% from the free throw line. Carlos Boozer has also been outstanding this month. He has played in 4 games this month and he has averaged 34.8 minutes, 23.8 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game.
